Common Skincare Mistakes

Has it ever happened to you that you are not achieving your desired skin goals or not seeing any progress even though you implement a proper skincare routine? It may be a sign of improper skin care, and it might be time for you to think if you are making some common skincare mistakes.

The skin’s health is limited to applying beauty products on the skin and the way you treat and take care of your skin daily. Most of us know that exfoliating too much or using harsh and stripping remedies on our skin prevents us from seeing the actual result.

Even though you have a legitimate skincare schedule, there might be some minor changes that can take your skin to a higher level. Here are some common skincare mistakes that you may be unknowingly making.

Wrong Layering of products

Applying products in the wrong order reduces the efficiency of the products and makes them pointless. When applying products, start with applying the most lightweight items first and then apply the thick formula.

Over Exfoliation

Exfoliation is essential to our skin as it prevents breakouts and clogged pores, but over-exfoliation can harm your skin’s natural moister barrier, which can result in inflammation, irritation and acne. So, limit your exfoliation to 2-3 times per week.

Using face wipes to remove makeup

Sure, face wipes are convenient and easy to use, but face wipes do not clean your face entirely. Although a face wipe removes some makeup and debris from your face, it also spoils your skin’s natural oil. So, always use a cleanser to remove makeup residue to dirt.

Frequently touching your face.

Constantly touching your face can be harmful to the skin. Your hands are exposed to various germs and bacteria. Frequently touching your face may transfer all of those impurities to your face and make the skin worse. Therefore, avoid touching your face with your hand and keeping your hands as clean as possible.

Applying sunscreen only when going out

Wearing sunscreen isn’t just for summer and beach time. Harmful UV Rays of the sun can reflect off other components, which is one of the primary reasons for premature aging. Applying sunscreen is the finest way to protect your skin from the sun. So, make sure to apply sunscreen even when the sun isn’t shining regularly.
