Shaving: fast but fleeting

Shaving is cheap and quick, but regrowth appears in 1–3 days, and razors bring stubble, nicks, razor burn and ingrown hairs. It’s the least skin-friendly option for the bikini line.

Waxing: the sweet spot

A Brazilian wax lasts 3–4 weeks, exfoliates as it removes hair, and leads to finer regrowth over time. There’s a brief sting, but no stubble phase and no daily upkeep. For most clients it’s the best balance of cost, comfort and long-lasting smoothness.

Laser: long-term, higher commitment

Laser can permanently reduce hair but requires 6–10+ sessions, costs significantly more, and works best on specific hair/skin-tone combinations. Many clients wax for years while they decide — and keep waxing between laser sessions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is waxing better than shaving for a Brazilian?

For most people, yes. Waxing lasts far longer, avoids stubble and razor burn, and leads to finer regrowth, while shaving lasts only a day or two.

Can I wax between laser hair removal sessions?

You should not wax between laser sessions, since laser targets the root — but many clients wax before starting laser or if they pause treatment.
